House near the pit for residential complex "Kurortny" in Sochi destroyed
The Vernichenko family from Sochi has finally lost their house, which earlier slid into the pit intended for building the nearby residential complex "Kurortny".
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on June 18 in Sochi a two-storey house of the Vernichenko family slid into the pit dug for building the residential complex "Kurortny". The developer said that the landslide was caused by chaotic construction and the load on the slope; and promised to buy new housing for the suffered family.
Today, at 8:45, the house was completely destroyed by the landslide, Victoria Vernichenko told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
"Currently, a psychologist is working with my children, because they can't sleep at night. I'm worried about my kids' psyche," she said, adding that so far the developer had offered no housing options for the family.
Residents of nearby houses have also told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent about their concerns. They fear that the continuation of the construction may lead to collapse of their houses.
