Makhachkala court upholds Khairullin's complaint about investigators' inaction
On June 17, the Sovietskiy District Court of Makhachkala upheld the complaint on investigators' inaction in relation to the application about the beating of local resident Arslan Khairullin by law enforcers, said the advocate Elena Denisenko.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in April this year, Arslan Khairullin, a 19-year-old resident of Dagestan, complained to the prosecutor's office that he was beaten up by law enforcers and illegally prosecuted. According to his advocate, Khairullin was not notified about the results of the check of the arguments of his appeal; and in this context, on June 10 they complained about investigators' inaction to the Sovietskiy District Court of Makhachkala.
On June 17, having considered the complaint, the court decided to uphold it by recognizing the inaction of the investigating authorities illegal, said Denisenko. According to her story, the court obliged the investigators to eliminate the violations.
