Court prolongs detention period for Kabardino-Balkarian Taliban fighters

Nina Odizheva, the mother of Ruslan Odizhev extradited from the Guantanamo base to the Pyatigorsk prison White Swan, told the Caucasian Knot correspondent on April 29 that the North Caucasian department of the Prosecutor General's Office had prolonged the detention period for her son and another Taliban fighter, Rasul Kudayev, for two more months. The Taliban fights are charged with crossing the border illegally and offering armed resistance to the anti-Taliban coalition force. The men's lawyer says there is no single prove of his clients' guilt in the case.
