Rural teacher killed in Dagestan during haymaking

In the evening on June 17, in the outskirt of the village of Verkhni Djalgan of the Derbent District of Dagestan, a local school teacher, who worked at haymaking in military uniform, was shot dead. Investigators believe that militants have to do with the crime, a law enforcement source has reported.

The slain Muradali Gadjiakhmedov was 43 years old.

"His parents could not get through to Muradali Gadjiakhmedov and decided to go to look for him in the village outskirt. They found his body with bullet wounds," said a law enforcement source, as reported by the "AiF Dagestan".

Investigators work with two versions of the incident: militants could take the teacher for a serviceman, because he was in a camouflage uniform. "According to the other version, Gadjiakhmedov could recognize one of the militants; and they liquidated his as an occasional witness," said a republic's law enforcement source, as quoted by the RIA "Dagestan".
