Court session on appeal against refusal to translate Temirsultanov's case files into Chechen language rescheduled for June 25
The court in Sochi has postponed the hearing on the complaint lodged by the defence of Khavazh Temirsultanov, a native of Chechnya, accused of robbery, against the refusal to translate the case files into the Chechen language. The court session is scheduled for June 25.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Temirsultanov was arrested in December 2014 and charged with assault in Sochi on pensioner Arthur Zadelnikov. However, the pensioner claims that Temirsultanov was not involved in the assault.
The defence has appealed against the extension of Temirsultanov's arrest until July 10. Besides, his advocate submitted a complaint demanding to oblige investigators to translate the case files into the Chechen language; and its consideration was scheduled for June 15.
On June 15, the judge wanted to hold session without Temirsultanov; however, the defence objected and asked to postpone the session; and it was decided, said the defendant's advocate Alexander Boichenko.
