Body of Russian soldier found in Gyumri
The body of a soldier of the 102nd Russian military base found in Gyumri bears signs of beatings and wounds. This was reported by the spokesman of the Prosecutor's Office for the Shirak District. According to the Prosecutor's Office, the body was found not far from the memorial complex "Mother Armenia".
The killed soldier has been identified as conscript Ivan Novikov, who was drawn to the army two months ago. This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by the spokesman of the Prosecutor's Office. According to him, the soldier's body bears signs of beatings and, in particular, numerous stab wounds. The criminal case was instituted under Article 104 (murder) of the Criminal Code of Armenia, the spokesman of the Investigating Committee of Armenia reports.
Let us remind you that at night on January 12, in Gyumri, an attack on the Avetisyan family was undertaken – six family members were killed on the spot; and on January 19, the only survival in the attack – Sergey Avetisyan, a 6-month-old baby, died from received wounds in hospital. A conscript-soldier from Russia Valery Permyakov is accused of committing the mass murder.
