Azerbaijan: head of village administration and her husband brutally murdered

A resident of the settlement of Saray, Apsheron District of Azerbaijan, has been detained on suspicion of committing a brutal murder of the head of local administration Vasilya Abdulgasanova and her husband Vafadar.

The Abdulgasanov couple was found dead today in their house with multiple stab wounds. The murder was committed about one o'clock at night local time before their children's eyes.

In the course of operative activities, policemen detained Fedai Guseinov, 35, a resident of the same settlement, who is suspected of committing the double murder, the "Vesti.az" writes with reference to the district police station.

According to investigators' preliminary data, the murder was caused by the land dispute of Guseinov with the Abdulgasanovs, the "1news.az" writes.
