Darya Polyudova released after 10-day arrest
Darya Polyudova, a Krasnodar activist, has served her administrative arrest. When she left the detention facility in the Cossack village of Poltavskaya, the woman claimed she had not been given a certificate of discharge.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Darya Polyudova was detained on May 9, when she was handing out to passers-by leaflets criticizing the policy of the Russian President. On the same day, the court announced the decision to arrest her. On May 10, Darya Polyudova declared a hunger strike at the detention facility to protest, according to her, against the unlawful arrest.
Darya Polyudova, one of the organizers of the failed march for federalization Kuban, who earlier used to be a member of several opposition movements, including the "Left-Wing Front", is accused of calling for extremist activity and disintegration of Russia.
According to Krasnodar activist Viktor Chirikov, who met Darya Polyudova when she left the detention facility, during the detention of the activist, her rights were violated: the police "detained her without explanation" and did not give her a chance to exercise her right to make a phone call.
Darya Polyudova has claimed that she still had no chance to examine the materials of the administrative case, in which she served 10 days of arrest, and that she got the information from the detention facility personnel that she was accused of hooliganism.
At present, Darya Polyudova still remains under recognizance not to leave and cannot take part in the court hearings.
