Investigators have changed the pre-trial restriction measure against Rudik Khachatryan, who was arrested on charge of attacking Grachya Mirzoyan, a member of the movement "Founding Parliament". According to the victim, the attacker was released on recognizance not to leave.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported on the attack on participants of the rally organized by the "Founding Parliament" under the slogan: "100th anniversary of the genocide without regime" that occurred in Gyumri on March 28. During the rally, activist Grachya Mirzoyan got a stab wound. On April 1, Rudik Khachatryan came to the police to confess to the attack, and on the same day, he was charged with intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm, endangering life (Part 1 of Article 112 of the Criminal Code of Armenia). Rudik Khachatryan was arrested. Grachya Mirzoyan was granted a status of victim in the case.

On May 12, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed by Grachya Mirzoyan that Rudik Khachatryan was released from custody on recognizance not to leave.

According to Grachya Mirzoyan, the man accused of attacking him was carrying out a "political order".

"He has fulfilled the order. However, he has overdone a little, and as a result, he was arrested," Grachya Mirzoyan has explained.

The victim did not exclude that in the future, the court would acquit Rudik Khachatryan.
