Krasnodar authorities declare non-participation in removing Stalin billboards
According to the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF), Krasnodar authorities were involved in dismantling billboards with portraits of Stalin from city streets; however, officials from the Mayoralty and territorial administration state that that they had nothing to do with the action.
Let us remind you that the local regional branch of the CPRF had placed congratulatory banners on the Victory Day with a portrait of Josef Stalin at public transport stops in Krasnodar. On May 6, it was reported that all the banners had disappeared.
CPRF activists intend to achieve the opening of a criminal case against those who at night on May 6 stole 14 billboards from transport stops in the city centre.
The posters with Stalin portraits, Saint George's ribbons and the Order of the Patriotic War had nothing to do with CPRF propaganda, assert its activists.
As reported by Sergey Luzinov, First Secretary of the Krasnodar City Branch of the CPRF, the placement of billboards had been agreed with the city administration.
The "Caucasian Knot" has also reported that billboards with Stalin portraits installed on the eve of the 70th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War disappeared in Makhachkala. A banner with Stalin was also dismantled in Stavropol.
