State Department announces reward for information about Umar al-Shishani
The US State Department has announced a reward for any information about Tarkhan Batirashvili (Umar al-Shishani), a field commander of the "Islamic State" (IS), which was declared a terrorist organization.
According to US data, Batirashvili is a member of the "board" of the IS and "the head of the military prison in the Syrian city of Al-Tabka, where foreign hostages were supposed to be kept; he also coordinated the finances of the grouping."
The Secretary of State has approved a total reward of 20 million US dollars for information about four field commanders.
Apart from Batirashvili, a reward of up to 7 million US dollars will be paid out for information about Abd al-Rakhman Mustafa al-Kaduli, up to 5 million – about Abu Mohammed al-Adnani, and 3 million - about Tariq Bin Al-Takhar Ben al-Falikh al-Avni Al Khazri.
These four people are the key IS leaders, says the website of the US State Department.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the murder of Tarkhan Batirashvili had been repeatedly reported earlier. Thus, on May 2, the news agency "Alforat-2" spread information about his death. However, his cousin did not confirm this information.
