Police start questioning witnesses on incident with damaging cars in Makhachkala

The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) for Dagestan has launched an investigation into the resonant incident with damage to private cars in Makhachkala. According to eyewitnesses, bodyguards of Ramazan Abdulatipov were involved in the incident.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported on the great resonance caused on the Internet by a video record shot in Makhachkala with a car camera and posted on YouTube. The video showed a bodyguard from an escort motorcade jeep, who was striking side mirrors of surrounding cars with a truncheon. According to Internet users, the incident involved a bodyguard from the escort motorcade of Dagestani leader Ramazan Abdulatipov, and the bodyguard damaged two private cars.

Today, it has been reported that Abdurashid Magomedov, the Dagestani Minister of the Internal Affairs has launched an official investigation to assess the actions of a bodyguard from an escort vehicle.

"The police question witnesses to the incident to identify the person, who was striking the cars with a truncheon. Given the public resonance, when the investigation is completed, the results will be made public," stated Fatina Ubaidatova, the head of the Department of Information and Public Relations of the Dagestani MIA, as quoted by the "Rossiyskaya Gazeta".

It should be noted that as of present, the video posted on YouTube on April 30 has been got more than one million views.
