Boston Court starts hearing Johar Tsarnaev's case

In Boston, the jury resumes its activity for sentencing Johar Tsarnaev, who was found guilty of committing the terror act in the course of the Boston Marathon in 2013.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that according to investigators, Johar Tsarnaev, a native of Chechnya, and his brother Tamerlan, who was killed during the detention, organized the terror act during the Boston Marathon in 2013. On April 8, Johar Tsarnaev was found by the jury guilty of all 30 charges filed against him.

Johar Tsarnaev faces death penalty or life imprisonment without possibility of release, the "Gazeta.ru" reports.

Several days ago, parents of an eight-year-old boy, killed in the terror act committed during the Boston Marathon, appealed to the authorities asking to exclude the option of the death penalty, since such a sentence would mean "endless appeals" and would postpone the opportunity for the family to move on, the "Gazeta.ru" reports.

Before the jury will announce its verdict, prosecutors and defence are to present a number of witnesses, the "Echo of Moscow" reports.
