Children from Donbas arrive in Grozny for medical treatment in local hospitals

22 children affected by the hostilities in the territory of the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics (DNR and LNR, respectively) are delivered to Chechnya. The children are hospitalized to clinics of Grozny, where they are to undergo courses of free medical treatment and rehabilitation.

The first group of children affected by the hostilities in Ukraine arrived in Grozny on April 11.

"Their number includes children, who got wounded and injured, and children suffering from various kinds of serious diseases. In total, Grozny welcomed 22 children with accompanying adults," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent has been informed today by an official from the Chechen Ministry of Health.

"Each child is to undergo an individual course of medical treatment depending on the degree of injuries or illness. As soon as they recover, they will be discharged from the clinics and brought home," the official has stated.

The Chechen Republic will also welcome other children affected by the armed conflict in eastern Ukraine. "The project is not limited to providing medical treatment of one group of children wounded in the DNR and the LNR. Assistance will be also provided to other children, when necessary," the official from the Chechen Ministry of Health has emphasized.
