Court leaves Khamzat Bakhaev under arrest
The Basmanny District Court of Moscow has upheld the pre-trial restriction measure in the form of arrest earlier announced against Khamzat Bakhaev and cancelled by the Moscow City Court because of procedural violations.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that today, Khamzat Bakhaev, Tamerlan Eskerkhanov, and Shagit Gubashev accused of involvement in the murder of politician Boris Nemtsov, have been brought to the court session, which was to decide on pre-trial restriction measure against them.
The Court has granted the request of the preliminary investigation bodies and announced the decision to leave Khamzat Bakhaev in SIZO (pre-trial prison) until April 28.
Russian opposition politician Boris Nemtsov was killed in the centre of Moscow on February 27. Five natives of Chechnya are accused of his murder. They plead not guilty.
