In Kabardino-Balkaria, Andzor Akhokhov detained for three hours

In the evening of April 2, the police detained and released after about three hours Andzor Akhokhov, a resident of Kabardino-Balkaria, who organized an action against the 2014 Olympic Games. The activist has become a defendant in a new criminal case.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on February 7, 2014, Andzor Akhokhov was detained in Nalchik during the action against the Sochi Olympic Games. He was subjected to administrative arrest for 20 days. On March 11, Andzor Akhokhov filed a complaint to the Investigating Committee about being tortured at the police station.

At about 8:00 p.m. of April 2, in Nalchik, a car driven by Andzor Akhokhov was stopped by the police. The activist was brought to the 1st police department of the capital of Kabardino-Balkaria, the "Region Online" reports.

The detention of Andzor Akhokhov is connected with the fact that he has refused to cooperate with the local law enforcement bodies as a witness. Andzor Akhokhov has been already released from the police station, the IA "Natpress" reported at 11:06 p.m. on April 2.

The information on the release of Andzor Akhokhov from the police station has been confirmed by blogger Avrom Shmulevich on his page in the "LiveJournal".

"A criminal case has been instituted against him on the charge of 'impeding investigation.' The criminal case will be brought to the court for consideration in an expeditious manner," blogger Avrom Shmulevich has written on the Internet.
