RBC: witness confirms Dadaev's likelihood with Nemtsov's killer

Contrary to the earlier disseminated information, Zaur Dadaev, the main person, accused of killing Boris Nemtsov, looks like the gunman, described by the witness Evgeny, the RBC reported on March 27 with reference to the protocol of questioning the eyewitness of the murder of Boris Nemtsov, who was previously treated by media as "a new witness". This witness is a 27-year-old Evgeny, who described the man, whom he saw fleeing from the scene of Nemtsov's murder.

Boris Nemtsov was shot and killed in Moscow on February 27. Five persons, including Zaur Dadaev, Anzor and Shagid Gubashev, Khamzat Bakhaev and Tamerlan Eskerkhanov, were detained on suspicion of involvement in the murder. They would not plead guilty.

Evgeny was questioned in detail a day after the opposition activist's murder; and his initial testimony has no serious contradictions with the main investigators' version, which charges Dadaev and other case figurants, says the RBC, pointing out that this is confirmed by the date and time of the interrogation of the witness; the authenticity of the protocol was confirmed by two sources, familiar with the course of investigation.

Let us remind you that earlier the "Kommersant" wrote that Zaur Dadaev did not fit the description of the killer of Boris Nemtsov, given by an eyewitness of the crime named Evgeny.

In the opinion of Oleg Orlov, a member of the board of the Human Rights Centre (HRC) "Memorial", the appearance of articles with conflicting information about the investigation into Nemtsov's murder looks like a purposeful creation of informational noise.

"It can be used both for hiding the true intentions of the investigation team, and for bringing real perpetrators of the crime out of attention. Commenting on such rumours is pointless; we have to wait for more specific information," Oleg Orlov told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
