"Kommersant": in Boris Nemtsov's case, investigators shift focus from opponents of "Charlie Hebdo" towards persons who ordered murder

Investigators in the case of the Boris Nemtsov's murder believe that the defendants committed the crime not by their belief, but they were hired by an unknown person, who promised to pay them 5 million roubles, the "Kommersant" reports. The newspaper also reports on the linguistic expertise to determine whether the letters received by the victim contained death threats.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that earlier, an official of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) has announced that among other versions, investigators consider the possibility that Boris Nemtsov was murdered because of his position regarding the massacre of staff members of the magazine "Charlie Hebdo". However, all the defendants in the case are charged under Paragraphs "g" and "h" of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (by mercenary motive or by order).

According to a source of the newspaper, the investigators have examined the electronic correspondence of Boris Nemtsov and selected suspicious incoming messages out of it. Meanwhile, it has been already revealed that immediately before his murder, the politician received no direct threats.

It should be noted that on March 10, the newspaper "Novaya Gazeta" reported that the investigators believe the crime was organized by a close relative of a top-ranking Chechen law enforcer named Ruslan. On March 17, the "RBC" posted the material, which reported on the confession made by Zaur Dadaev, the main defendant in the case, stating that a native of Chechnya, nicknamed Rusik, helped him to organize the murder and promised to pay him 5 million roubles for the murder of Boris Nemtsov.
