Policemen question Islamic preacher Khalid in connection with CTO in Makhachkala

The police questioned Islamic preacher Nadir Abu Khalid, who lived in the house in Makhachkala, in which a special operation was conducted on March 21. This was reported by his advocate Israfil Gadadov. The Islamic preacher was brought to the Lenin police department; however, according to the advocate, he was later released.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that during the special operation carried out on March 21 in Makhachkala, a five-storey building was blocked. As a result of the clashes, four men and three women were killed, and one law enforcer was wounded. As of March 23, investigators identified six killed persons, including Islam Magomedov, the suspected leader of a local militant grouping.

Nadir Abu Khalid (Medetov), a well-known religious leader, was detained on October 8. He is charged with illegal possession of a pistol. His family members believe that the weapons were planted to Nadir and his brother, who was also detained.

According to Israfil Gadadov, Nadir Abu Khalid was brought to the Lenin police station on March 21. Meanwhile, on March 22, according to the advocate, the Islamic preacher under house arrest was visited by a district policeman, who asked Nadir Abu Khalid to come to the police for questioning.

One more resident of the house, where the special operation was conducted, reported on his interrogation on March 21.
