CTO regime cancelled in Lenin District of Makhachkala
Today, at 1:00 p.m., a regime of counterterrorist operation (CTO) introduced in the morning of March 21 in the territory of the Lenin District of Makhachkala has been cancelled.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that during the special operation carried out in Makhachkala, seven militants, including four men and three women, were killed, and a fighter of the Special Rapid Response Unit (known as SOBR) was wounded.
The CTO regime in the Lenin District has been cancelled because of "the completion of all operational and combat activities," the "Interfax" reports with reference to an official from the operational headquarters.
Following the results of the special operation, law enforcers have instituted a criminal case on attempt on lives of power agents and illicit trafficking in arms and ammunition.
The process of the identification of the killed persons is underway, the website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) for Dagestan reports.
Earlier, a source in the MIA has reported that one of the persons killed in the special operation in Makhachkala was preliminary identified as Murad Musaev. He was suspected of an attack on a staff member of the Centre for Combating Extremism of the Dagestani MIA committed on March 19.
