NAC reports on liquidation of two militants in Dagestan

Two militants were killed in a special operation carried out in Makhachkala. A fighter of the Special Rapid Response Unit (known as SOBR) was wounded. This was reported by the National Antiterrorist Committee of Russia.

This morning, in Makhachkala, law enforcers started a special operation, during which a group of suspected members of the armed underground was blocked in an apartment house.

"The persons who rendered armed resistance are neutralized, and we checked their involvement in other crimes. Firearms and ammunition were found in the apartment," the RIA "Novosti" quotes at 12:44 a.m. Moscow time the message of the National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC) of Russia.

According to the NAC, during the counterterrorist operation (CTO), a SOBR fighter was wounded, and no civilians suffered, the "Interfax" reports. According to a source in the law enforcement agencies, a child was accompanied out of the blocked building at the very beginning of the special operation.
