In Volgograd, hunger-striker asks to deprive him of his parental rights
Sergey Kireev, a resident of Volgograd, participating in the hunger strike declared by parents of many children, has asked to deprive him of his parental rights for his two children after a similar statement was filed by their mother Nadezhda. The older children from the Kireev family have filed their parents' statements.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that starting from March 1 four parents of many children are holding a protest action in front of the building of the Volgograd regional administration, demanding to solve their housing problems. On March 19, Nadezhda Kireeva, one of the protestors, filed a statement to the guardianship bodies to deprive her of parental rights for her two children.
On March 20, Sergey Kireev and their two older children also filed statements to the guardianship bodies. According to Nadezhda Kireeva, on the same day, three officials visited them at the social hotel to inspect their living conditions.
"I was told that I put pressure on my children and make them to file statements for guardianship. I said that my duties with regard to my children are exercised. At present, the situation is different, and I can do nothing more for my children. Yesterday, my son Ivan stayed at home, although he was to go to school: I just had no money to give him to pay a bus fare," the protestor has said.
