Volgograd: woman-hunger-striker continues protest kneeling in front of regional administration

Olga Eschenko, a mother of four children and a participant of the rotating hunger strike of parents with many children, is holding her "shift" today, standing on her knees on the steps of the administration of the Volgograd Region.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 1 four parents of many children from Volgograd began their protest action demanding to address their housing problems. They are hunger-striking in turn, standing on the steps of the building of the regional administration.

Today, Olga Eschenko began her action at 10 in the morning. She said that she intends to stand like that for "3-4 hours" trying to attract the attention of officials to the problems of her family.

"This is my action in defence of mothers with many children of Volgograd and Volgograd Region. I am a mother of a disabled child. During our first hunger strike, they promised to build a house for me and my family. But I'm still standing here, asking to receive me and help my family," Olga Eschenko told the "Caucasian Knot".

She noted that now, on working days she intends to stand kneeling at the regional administration. "And then I'll go to President, and stand kneeling there; because there should be some outcome of what we are doing by sacrificing our health and time of communicating with our children," said Olga Eschenko.
