Up to 20 soldiers killed and wounded in Karabakh conflict zone

Today, up to 20 Armenian servicemen have been killed and wounded on the Armenian-Azerbaijani contact line, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of Azerbaijan has reported.

Today, the MoD of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) has informed about the armed clash, during which members of an enemy grouping, who entered the territory of the NKR, were liquidated. The Karabakh party, according to the MoD, had three killed and four wounded soldiers.

According the today's statement of the Azerbaijani MoD, the information that its units committed diversion actions on the contact line has nothing to do with reality. According to its version, today, there were armed clashes on the contact line, during which 20 enemy soldiers were killed and wounded; however, the Armenian party is hiding its losses, the APA News Agency writes with reference to the press service of the MoD.

In its turn, the NKR's Defence Army has disseminated photos of the weapons and ammunition, which, according to the NKR, were left in the battlefield by retreating Azerbaijani soldiers, said today the blogger of the "Caucasian Knot" nicknamed Kornelij, who posted these photos in his blog. Kornelij also noted, referring to the Defence Army of the NKR, that the Azerbaijani party lost 12 people during the retreat.
