CTO regime introduced in Novolak and Kazbek Districts creates no problems for residents

Locals report that the introduction of the counterterrorist operation (CTO) regime in the Novolak and Kazbek Districts of Dagestan has not told negatively on their life; and they don't see any accumulation of military machines on the highway Khasavyurt-Makhachkala.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in the evening on March 15, the CTO regime was introduced in Buynaksk District of Dagestan; and in the midnight it was expanded to five districts, including the Novolak, Kazbek, Khasavyurt and Kizilyurt Districts. The area of the special operation is also officially covering the district centres Buynaksk, Kizilyurt and Khasavyurt. The total territory under the CTO regime is about 4500 square kilometres, inhabited by 368,000 people.

Residents of the Novolak District of Dagestan, now under the CTO regime, have not noticed any changes.

"Today, I drove to the old Novolak, but I saw nothing related to the CTO on the highway or in the city. There are no more policemen on the roads than usually," Murad Dadaev, a resident of the Novolak District, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

It should be noted here that residents of Khasavyurt and Kizilyurt also reported that the introduction of the CTO regime had not told on their life in the cities. At the same time, according to residents of Khasavyurt, back on March 15 the city was full of power agents.
