On March 9-15, no victims to armed conflict in Northern Caucasus reported
During the week of March 9-15, 2015, no victims to the armed conflict in Northern Caucasus were reported. These are the results of calculations made by the "Caucasian Knot" based on its own materials and information from other open sources.
Attacks on law enforcers
In the evening of March 10, a group of policemen came under fire when they were carrying out operative and search activities near the village of Nokozukh in the Gunib District of Dagestan. No one suffered as a result of fire. The law enforcers were shelled from small arms. The search for the attackers was organized.
Special and counterterrorist operations
Starting from 10:00 p.m. on March 15, a counterterrorist operation (CTO) regime was introduced in Buynaksk and the Buynaksk District of Dagestan. A search for militants and their supporters is underway.
Bombings and terror acts
At 4:30 a.m. on March 14, an explosive device detonated at the first floor of a nine-storey building under construction in Khasavyurt. No one suffered as a result of the explosion, which destroyed walls of an apartment.
Detentions
On March 9 and 10, in the Soviet District and in the Separatorny village of the Kirov District of Makhachkala, policemen visited all the apartments to inspect passports of all the tenants of apartments and private houses. The streets were approached by special vehicles and men in masks. According to local residents, law enforcers inspected passports of all Salafis. Meanwhile, the local residents reported that on March 9, in Agasiev Street, policemen "detained several young men with beards."
On March 10, in the village named after Shaumyan of the Kizlyar District, law enforcers detained 26-year-old Magomed Magomedov after a search of his house. His brother Imangazali Magomedov is accused of aiding and abetting militants, possession of weapons and drugs.
Kidnappings
In the morning of March 13, brothers Magomed and Sagid Gadjiev were detained in the village of Balakhani of the Untsukul District of Dagestan. According to their relatives, Magomed and Sagid Gadjiev were detained after the search, during which a grenade and ammunition were planted to them. The detainees' relatives reported that Magomed Gadjiev used to study in Cairo, learned the Koran by heart, and he returned home 3-4 years ago. Sagid never went anywhere. Both brothers live in rural areas and help their parents.
Disappearances
At about 10:00 a.m. on March 10, Aishat Dalgatova, a resident of Makhachkala, born in 1994, left home with her one-year-old son and went to the polyclinic. From the polyclinic, the young woman went to the hospital, but never reached it. Since then, her relatives have no information about her whereabouts. According to them, Aishat Dalgatova is "an observant Muslim." They fear that the young woman was kidnapped. Aishat Dalgatova is not listed in any official reports as a detainee.
