Advocates appeal against arrest of Zaur Dadaev
The complaint of Zaur Dadaev, accused of involvement in the murder of Nemtsov, against his arrest arrived on Thursday in the Moscow Basmanny Court, said a court source.
A Sochi native Boris Nemtsov was killed on February 27 in central Moscow. He had systematically sharply criticized the actions of the leadership of the Chechen Republic.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported, referring to the official data, that five persons had been detained in connection with the Nemtsov's murder. On March 8, the Basmanny Court of Moscow satisfied investigators' request and arrested Zaur Dadaev, Anzor Gubashev, Khamzat Bakhaev, Tamerlan Eskerkhanov and Shagid Gubashev. Zaur Dadaev and Anzor Gubashev were directly charged with the murder.
"The defence of Zaur Dadaev has filed a complaint, in which it asks the court to overturn the decision to restrict his freedom by placing him behind bars," said the source from the Basmanny Court of Moscow.
Let us remind you that on March 10, Sofya Rubasskaya, the advocate of Khamzat Bakhaev, also appealed against the arrest of her client. According to Anna Fadeeva, the press secretary of the Basmanny Court, on March 11, the court received three appeals on the case – from the defenders of Tamerlan Eskerkhanov, Anzor Gubashev and Khamzat Bakhaev.
