Data of "Caucasian Knot" refutes foreign trace to customers of Nemtsov's murder

The version spread today that the traces of the murder of the oppositional leader Boris Nemtsov may lead abroad is not confirmed by the data and sources of the "Caucasian Knot".

Today, at 5:43 p.m., the "Interfax" reported, with reference to a source familiar with the situation, that the customers of Boris Nemtsov's murder may reside abroad. "The traces of the crime may lead abroad – this version is actively studied," the "Interfax" quotes the source.

Alexander Bortnikov, the head of the FSB, informed today that Anzor Gubashev and Zaur Dadaev had been detained under the murder case of the politician Boris Nemtsov. According to investigators, the detainees "were involved in organizing and executing the murder of Boris Nemtsov." The figurants in the above murder case were detained by FSB agents in the territory of Ingushetia, said the spokesman of the Security Council of Ingushetia.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported today that Zaur Dadaev, suspected of killing Nemtsov, is a serviceman of the battalion "Sever" (North) in Chechnya.

The battalion "Sever" was established in Chechnya in 2006 under the patronage of Ramzan Kadyrov. Structurally, the battalion is a part of the 46th Operative Brigade of the Interior Troops of the MIA of Russia. In 2010, the battalion was transformed into the 141st Special Motorized Regiment named after Akhmat-Hadji Kadyrov, Hero of the Russian Federation; and the unit preserved the name "Sever".

These facts give rise to doubts about the version that the customer of the murder of the oppositional leader Boris Nemtsov resides abroad. For such a person it is difficult to hire someone to commit a crime from among the power agencies, operating in Chechnya – it's easier to hire a professional killer in whatever other place.
