Boris Nemtsov buried in Moscow

Today, the oppositional politician Boris Nemtsov was buried in Moscow. The participants in the funeral service, interviewed by the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent, criticized the investigators' version about involvement in his murder of Chechen militants or supporters of radical Islam.

Boris Nemtsov, a Russian politician, born in Sochi, was killed in Moscow on February 27. He was one of the most famous Russian opposition politicians.

The funeral of Boris Nemtsov was held from 3:30 p.m. at the Troekurov Cemetery. By the end of the funeral service, so many people came to the Sakharov Centre in Zemlyanoi Val that the queue was 700 meters long.

In their comments on the versions of the murder that appeared in the media, the participants noted the implausibility of some of them.

As noted by Oleg Orlov, a member of the board of the Human Rights Centre (HRC) "Memorial", the versions announced by investigators, in particular, about the "Islamic trace", look similar to the way the investigation had commented Natalia Estemirova's murder.

"It was a bluff and nonsense. The same thing is happening now – they try to switch the inquiry into other track," said Orlov.

He is sceptical about the chances to solve the crime.

Another investigators' version that Boris Nemtsov was killed by the order of Ukrainian security services, while the organizers of the crime could be the Chechen militants from the battalion named after Dudaev is just ridiculous, said Lechi Akhmadov, a native of Grozny and a participant of the funeral. "They couldn't invent anything more stupid," he said.
