Boris Nemtsov's murder becomes severe blow against opposition, protesters in Astrakhan believe

Participants of a picket held in Astrakhan as a part of the all-Russian campaign "Vesna" (Spring), have paid tribute to Boris Nemtsov. They have also expressed their hope that his death will cause the oppositionists to stick together, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.

Igor Stenin, the leader of the association "Russians of Astrakhan", has stated that the leaders of the ethnic political association (EPA) "Russians" decided to take part in the anti-crisis actions "Vesna". However, the events of February 27 changed the subject of the action.

"We have come here to pay tribute to memory of Boris Nemtsov. To begin with, we believe he was an adequate politician to deal with, and he could be good for Russia at any position. Secondly, no one is allowed to kill people. Thirdly, we all are to be blamed for his death, since with our acquiescence, someone thought he is allowed to kill for views, for opinions, and for alternative positions," the "Caucasian Knot" was told by Igor Stenin.

Political analyst Rinat Kinzhuvaev called Boris Nemtsov a "locomotive of the opposition" and said that he was a consistent critic of the government, and meanwhile, no compromising materials were discovered against him.

"His death is a very big blow against the opposition. And it makes the oppositionists to stick together even more close, to work together, and to protect each other," Rinat Kinzhuvaev has said.
