Rostov-on-Don: anti-crisis marchers demand independent inquiry into Nemtsov's murder

On March 1, members of the opposition movements in Rostov-on-Don held a rally in the Sedov city square to express their solidarity with the Moscow event to pay tribute to the memory of politician Boris Nemtsov murdered a day before. Following the event, the resolution was adopted with the demand for an independent investigation into the murder and the immediate cessation of the war in Ukraine.

On February 27, Boris Nemtsov, a Russian politician, born in Sochi, was killed in Moscow. He was one of the most famous Russian opposition politicians.

The anti-crisis march "Vesna" (Spring) and the rally were attended by more than 100 people, including members of the movement "Solidarity", the "Party of December 5," the "RPR-Parnas", the "Left-Wing Front", and other organizations, and civil society activists, the organizers report.

Meanwhile, the action was only initially held under the above name and was dedicated to the economic crisis in the country. Finally, the action has grown into a mourning ceremony in connection with the murder of Russian politician Boris Nemtsov.

Rallies in memory of Boris Nemtsov have been held today in other Russian regions as well. Residents of the Volzhsky town of the Volgograd Region paid tribute to the memory of Boris Nemtsov during a picket in support of Article 31 of the Constitution. However, the police did not allow the picketers to unfold a banner with a Boris Nemtsov's photo. In Rostov-on-Don, at least 100 people attended the anti-crisis march "Vesna" and took photos of murdered Boris Nemtsov with them. Today, in memory of the murdered politician, residents and guests of Sochi brought flowers and candles to the city monument to the victims of political repressions. In the evening of February 28, the action in memory of Boris Nemtsov was held in Krasnodar.
