Situation on border with Georgia is satisfactory, says Tskhinvali's spokesman
The situation along the entire perimeter of the border with Georgia is satisfactory, the South-Ossetian party said during a meeting in Ergneti. At the same time, South Ossetia continues defending its right on the disputed section along the border, Khokh Gagloity, the head of the South-Ossetian delegation, said after the meeting in Ergneti.
The 52nd meeting within the format of the Incident Prevention Mechanism (IPRM) took place on February 27 in the village of Ergneti near the border with South Ossetia.
The situation from the viewpoint of security along the entire perimeter was considered satisfactory by both parties, although the South-Ossetian one expressed its concern over the damaged border signs on the part of Georgia, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.
The South-Ossetian party paid attention to the issue of South-Ossetian prisoners kept in Georgia, said Gagloity. According to the Georgian party, the health state of hunger-strikers is satisfactory; however, a request to the OSCE was made on this issue.
Besides, the parties paid a lot of time to the issue of the border line in the locality named Diseu-Koshka-Korkula-Kere, since most of disputes concern this issue. The Georgian party claims that these territories "had always been under patrol of the Georgian party, while the South-Ossetian side is convinced of the opposite.
