In Dagestan, number of persons killed in special operation reaches ten

In Dagestan, nine militants were killed during a special operation held in the Kizilyurt District, and one special agent also perished. This was reported by a source in the Ministry Internal Affair (MIA). One more power agent was wounded.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on February 25, power agents discovered a dugout in the Kizilyurt District, where militants were hiding. A counterterrorist operation (CTO) regime was introduced in the four villages of the Kizilyurt District.

According to the source, one of the nine killed militants has been preliminary identified as Oleg Shalyapin. "According to the power agents, he was involved in the murder of retired Police Colonel Aitemir Salimgereev, the former chief of the Kizilyurt GOVD (City Interior Department) in July 2014. Then, he and his two accomplices cut the throat of the Police Colonel," the RIA "Dagestan" reports.

One more member of the armed underground is hiding in the wooden area, the RIA "Novosti" quotes the source in the law enforcement bodies as stating.
