First suspect in May 9 blast in Grozny declared wanted

Law enforcement agencies of the Chechen Republic declared a supposed murderer of Akhmat Kadyrov wanted yesterday. "Today, we officially declared Vakhid Vakhidov, a resident of the Chechen town of Urus-Martan, wanted. Investigators have every reason to suppose he is the man who was a committer of the May 9 terrorist act at the Dinamo stadium in Grozny, which left 7 people, including Chechen president Akhmat Hajji Kadyrov, dead," a source at the Chechen prosecutor's office said on May 24. At the same time, he once again denied information that several suspects in the May 9 blast had been detained. "Vakhidov is the first suspect, whom the investigators consider to be one of the main people responsible for the tragedy," the source added.
