"Antimaidan" action held in Sochi

In Sochi, about 50 people took part in the all-Russian "Antimaidan" campaign. They came up with posters reading: "It's time to drive fifth column away!", "Let's give powers to head of state!" and "Let's support Putin's policy!", the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.

The action was held today from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Komsomol Mini-Park.

"The aim of the public event is to inform the population about the inadmissibility of any sort of Maidan in Russia," said the notification of the organizers, submitted to the Sochi Mayor on February 16, 2015.

People gathered to the action in order to "protest against wars and plots against Russia of the 'fifth column'," Nodar Alavidze, the organizer of the action and the coordinator of the Sochi branch of the NLM (National Liberation Movement), told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
