At trial on Gyumri massacre, the suffered party will be presented by two advocates

The second defender has entered the case of the murder of the Avetisyan family in Gyumri. Thus, five successors of the victims will be represented by two advocates.

Apart from the public defender Tamara Bagdasaryan, the lawyer Yerem Sarkisyan is also involved in the case. He will represent the interests of Lucin Avetisyan and Yegor Adamyan, the "News-Armenia" writes in its official page on the Facebook with reference to the Investigating Committee (IC) of Armenia.

Sarkisyan said that he could study the decisions on appointing a number of examinations. The list lacks a forensic psychiatric examination of the accused Valery Permyakov, the "NEWS.am" writes with reference to the lawyer.

Earlier, a source close to the investigation of this crime, said that a psychological and psychiatric examination had been appointed to Permyakov.

Yerem Sarkisyan is known for his participation in the trial on the fight in the car park of the "Harsnaqar" Restaurant in Yerevan, after which a military doctor Vage Avetyan died in hospital. He is also defending the interests of Gor Arakelyan (the son-in-law of Karo Karapetyan, a Deputy of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia from the "Prosperous Armenia" Party), who is accused of a murder attempt and illegal firearms circulation.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that at night on January 12, in Gyumri, six members of the Avetisyan family were assassinated. The only survivor of the attack – the six-month-old Sergey Avetisyan – was hospitalized in critical condition and died in hospital on January 19. A Russian regular soldier Valery Permyakov was arrested as a suspect of committing the massacre. The mass murder in Gyumri triggered a wave of protests after the General Prosecutor's Office (GPO) of Armenia said that Valery Permyakov, suspected of the crime, would not be given out to Armenian law enforcement bodies, since he is a citizen of Russia.
