MoD of Azerbaijan reports death of three soldiers in Karabakh conflict zone

Three Azerbaijani soldiers were killed in the conflict zone, as there are wounded, said today the Ministry of Defence. In this case, the names of those killed and injured number is not listed.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the parties to the conflict are regularly accusing each other of violating the ceasefire. Earlier, the Azerbaijani MoD only once, in January, reported about its victims. It was on January 6 – then, the injury of a soldier Akhmed Mamedov by a mine explosion was reported.

According to the Azerbaijani MoD, attempts of scouting and sabotage groups to suddenly attack the position of the units of the armed forces of Azerbaijan were prevented, while three soldiers were killed in repelling an attack during the unequal battle with a much superior strength of the enemy.

By the order of Zakir Gasanov, the Minister of Defence of Azerbaijan, the perished soldiers were posthumously awarded the medal "For Distinction at Military Service" of Category 3.

In its turn, the MoD of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) has reported, with reference to the NKR's Defence Army, the death of three and wounding of two Azerbaijani soldiers during incidents on the contact line on January 24-25, the "Armenpress" reports.
