Azerbaijani MoD reports capturing Armenian soldier

As stated today by the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of Azerbaijan, a serviceman Arsen Bagdasaryan was captured at an attempt of an opponent's sabotage group to enter the territory of Azerbaijan.

According to the Azerbaijani MoD, in the evening on December 26, an opponent's sabotage and reconnaissance group tried to cross the contact line of the Karabakh conflict in the direction of the Agdam District.

A shootout broke out, as a result of which the enemy retreated, by suffering heavy losses; and one of the soldiers of the Armenian party was captured, said the MoD of Azerbaijan.

The captured man has been pre-identified as a professional soldier Arsen E. Bagdasaryan, the "1news.az" reports quoting the press service of the MoD.

So far, no comments of the authorities of Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh on the message of the Azerbaijani party are available.
