Authorities of Krasnodar Territory restrict flow of tourists to Sochi resorts

All the rooms and beds at ski resorts of Sochi have been booked for the New Year holidays; the demand is 1.5 times the proposal; therefore, the authorities of the Krasnodar Territory have to restrict the flow of tourists, said the Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Kozak at a meeting of Russian Premier Dmitry Medvedev with his Deputies.

Dmitry Kozak has warned tourists that ski passes will be sold only to those who have places in hotels. "Those, who will come to resorts spontaneously, will not be able to buy them.

In his turn, Dmitry Medvedev has noted that it is already impossible to book a place at a resort in Sochi: "hotels and sporting facilities are loaded, as they say, to the eyeballs." He asked the Governor of the KrasnodarTerritory and the Mayor of Sochi to warn the tourists who are only planning to go there for holidays.

According to Medvedev, "it's a signal for us that we should continue developing resorts in other regions of the Caucasus." "We have a number of projects to be implemented", the "Interfax" quotes the Russia's Premier.
