Dagestan: Murtazali Shamilov, detained resident of Vremenny, is back home
Murtazali Shamilov, a resident of the Dagestani settlement of Vremenny, who was detained by power agents on September 18 during a special operation conducted in the settlement, has returned home. The fate of another detainee, Sultanbeg Khapizov, remains unknown.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported with reference to the Human Rights Centre (HRC) "Memorial" that after the start of the special operation in Vremenny, Untsukul District of Dagestan, power agents detained four local residents. A few days later, two of them were set free.
According to his advocate Khadji Denchi, a former district public prosecutor, December 2, Murtazali Shamilov returned home and soon will undergo a medical examination.
"He is an elderly man, born in 1952; he had kidney problems and the initial stage of diabetes," said the lawyer and added that as to the fourth detainee, Sultanbeg Khapizov, born in 1984, he has no news so far.
In response to requests, law enforcement bodies reported that they had no information about the detainees, said Denchi.
