Commission for assessing damage from CTO completes its work in Vremenny

The commission set up for assessing the damage caused to residents of the settlement of Vremenny by the actions during the counterterrorist operation (CTO) has finished its work. Local residents complained about the actions of power agents who conducted the CTO.

Let us remind you that the decision to set up the above commission was made on November 25 at a sitting in the administration of the Untsukul District.

Aminat Magomedova, a resident of Vremenny, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that the commission completed its work on November 30; however, so far, there is no information about the total sum of the damage.

"The household appliances, belonging to local people, for some reason were stacked in several houses; we had a feeling that they planned to taker them away, but just had no time. Furniture is broken, floors are removed almost in every private house, as if they were looking for something under the floors." the woman said.

Another local woman said that people do not believe that the assessment of the damage will be adequate to real losses.

As reported by the lawyer Elena Denisenko, actions power agents during the CTO regime are regulated by several articles of the Federal Law "On Combating Terrorism". The damage to property, according to the lawyer, is governed by Article 22 of the Law.

Let us remind you that on October 2, according to law enforcers, an armed clash burst out in the settlement, in which three persons were killed, and one OMON (riot police) fighter was wounded. On October 6, power agents reported that when they removing the debris of a house at the site of the CTO, they found bodies of seven suspected militants.
