Man suspected of killing his daughter detained in Dagestan

On November 17, in Dagestan, a 54-year-old resident of Makhachkala was detained. He is suspected of killing his 21-year-old daughter.

"Near the village of Salta, Gunib District, a conflict burst out between the father and daughter. According to preliminary data, it was caused by father's dissatisfaction with the daughter's behaviour. As a result of the conflict, the father strangled his daughter in the car," a source from the Investigating Department Dagestan of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

According to his version, the dead girl was found by law enforcers, when they inspected the car at the entrance to the village of Gunib at the checkpoint; then the man was taken to the ROVD and detained.

At present, the suspect is in Makhachkala SIZO (pre-trial prison).

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed by suspect's friends that the family had conflicts before because of the daughter's behaviour. According to their story, the father was angry that she communicated with the opposite sex.
