Yunus-Bek Evkurov orders to perform anthems in Ingush schools on the monthly basis

Every month schools of Ingushetia will hold solemn line-ups, which will mandatorily perform the anthems of Ingushetia and the Russian Federation, the head of the republic Yunus-Bek Evkurov has announced.

According to his version, every opportunity should be used that can have a positive impact on the spiritual and patriotic upbringing of the younger generation.

He also said that earlier it was considered shameful for a citizen not to know the words of his or her national anthem. In this regard, as the head of Ingushetia is sure, it is necessary to revive these traditions and strengthen the educational work among young people, the Radio "Echo Moskvy" reports.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that at his meeting with bloggers in March 2012 Evkurov emphasized the importance of rearing a child in the family. In his opinion, such education is a key to decent behaviour of a young person in the society.

In August 2014, it became known that State Duma MPs from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF) were drafting a bill on the return of the lesson of political information into the school curriculum. Among other things, the document assumes performing the national anthem at breaks between lessons, the "Nezavisimaya Gazeta" reports.
