Suspected militant killed in special operation in Chegem District of KBR

As claimed by law enforcement bodies, one militant was killed during the storming of the blocked house in the village of Chegem Vtoroi in the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR). According to power agents, another man is still in the blocked house; the special operation was postponed until the morning.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the counterterrorist operation (CTO) regime is in force in the territory of Chegem Vtoroi of the Chegem District since 3:30 p.m. According to law enforcement sources, militants had been blocked in one of private houses; and talks about surrender were held with them.

According to the sources, the two blocked militants opened fire in response to proposals to surrender. During the subsequent storm, one of them was killed; and the special operation was suspended until morning, the Radio "Echo Moskvy" reports, referring to the "Interfax".
