Armenian PM: situation in Karabakh must be settled by people of unrecognized republic

The situation that has arisen in the unrecognized republic of Nagorny Karabakh must be settled by the people of Karabakh by means of self-determination, believes Armenian Prime Minister Andranik Margarian.

"We want this question to be solved by the people of Karabakh by means of self-determination. This question is first of all the question of the republic of Nagorny Karabakh, of the Karabakh people - how they will defend their independence and their security," the prime minister said at a press conference in Kiev, after a session of the Ukrainian-Armenian Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation.

"If the Karabakh people solve some question, Armenia will always assist. In other words, this question should not be presented as the one only between Armenia and Azerbaijan," he added.
