Experts: law enforcers are contradictory in reports about death of suspected organizer of suicide bombing in Grozny

Grozny residents do not confirm the information disseminated by investigators about the circumstances of the death of the suspected organizer of the terror act committed in Grozny on October 5. The contradictory information coming from the law enforcement bodies about the results of special operations is a common practice in Northern Caucasus, and it may be an element of competition between the secret services. This opinion was expressed by experts interviewed by the "Caucasian Knot".

Meanwhile, residents of the Staropromyslovsky District of Grozny do not confirm the information of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) stating that killed Aslan Aliskhanov had activated an improvised explosive device (IED) in the village of Solenaya Balka located in the Staropromyslovsky District. According to the local residents, in recent days, no explosions ever occurred in private households in the villages of Katayama or Solenaya Balka.

According to a leader of one of the Chechen public institutions, the law enforcement bodies of Chechnya "do not tell the whole truth about the recent events," and the investigating authorities of Russia "misinterpret the events." He believes the case involves "beginners in the armed underground and subversive activities."

According to Orhan Cemal, a "Forbes" magazine special correspondent, the situation in Chechnya with the search for the suspected suicide bombers "evidences the failure to solve problems causing terrorism."

The suicide bombing committed in Grozny invalidates all the claims that "the situation in Chechnya is quiet, and there are no more problems there." This opinion was expressed by Ivan Sukhov, an observer of the "Voice of Russia". According to him, the lack of information about the ongoing special operations "exacerbates danger of conflict in Northern Caucasus."
