Chechen law enforcers search for suspected accomplice of organizer of explosion on Grozny Day

In Chechnya, the law enforcement bodies are searching for Magomed Zaurbekov, a Chechen resident. According to the law enforcers, Magomed Zaurbekov is an associate of Aslan Aliskhanov, the organizer of the explosion on the Grozny Day. Besides, Magomed Zaurbekov himself is preparing to commit a terror act.

Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 18, the Chechen law enforcers made public the killing of Aslan Aliskhanov in Grozny, who, according to investigators, was the organizer of the explosion on October 5 committed by Apti Mudarov.

According to the spokesman of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) for Chechnya, Aslan Aliskhanov made an improvised explosive device (IED), which Apti Mudarov activated near the Concert Hall. Aslan Aliskhanov was sheltering in a semi-abandoned household near the village of Katayama of the Staropromyslovsky District of Grozny.

According to the MIA's spokesman, 29-year-old Magomed Zaurbekov, an associate of Aslan Aliskhanov, is also preparing to commit a terror act. The law enforcement authorities are searching for him.

Vakhid K., a resident of Grozny, has stated with reference to his relative working for the police that Aslan Aliskhanov was killed without warning. The Grozny resident believes that if Aslan Aliskhanov had a plan to blow himself up, then "he could do that long time ago, since he was searched for about two weeks."

According to Musa, a member of a local NGO, notes that after policeman Akhmed Dopaev was killed in Grozny on June 22, several young men were declared militants and killed in Chechnya. The member of the local NGO has added that "if to use such methods, the authorities can fight with non-existent militants and keep the population in constant expectation for other 15-20 years."
