Three suspected militants killed in Dagestan

Three militants were killed in a special operation conducted in the settlement of Vremenny, Untsukul District of Dagestan, said a source from law enforcement bodies.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on September 18 local residents said that Vremenny was blocked by power agents who started household-by-household inspections. Today, according to the source, law enforcers were searching – within the counterterrorist operation (CTO) regime, introduced in the district, – for militants; and opened fire on them.

"According to preliminary data, three militants were liquidated," the "Interfax" quotes a law enforcer. One OMON (riot police) fighter was wounded in the shootout.
