KBR: IED neutralized on "Kavkaz" Highway

Today, bomb experts from the FSB have blown up an improvised explosive device (IED) detected on the "Kavkaz" Federal Highway in the territory of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR), says the Information Centre of the National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC).

According to the NAC, the IED was found at 8:40 a.m. in the 461st kilometre of the "Kavkaz" in the section of Nalchik-Urvan.

According to experts the power of the IED was about 500-600 grams of TNT (trotyl) equivalent. They destroyed it in place with a hydrodynamic gun, the ITAR-TASS reports citing the NAC.
