Man kidnapped in Makhachkala, eyewitnesses report

According to local residents the kidnapping occurred in central Makhachkala in the evening on Thursday.

The incident occurred at the corner of Batyrai and Suleiman Stalsky Streets, said one of the eyewitnesses. According to his story, 5-8 armed men, most of them in masks, arrived in two cars, pushed a young man into one of the cars and drove away.

The kidnapped man was under 30 by appearance; and the kidnappers dragged him out of a white Lada-Priora car, the source said.

Information about the kidnapping was also circulated in the social network Facebook by the user Abdulmumin Gadjiev, who indicated the plate numbers of the kidnappers' cars.

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told at the Makhachkala UVD (Interior Department) that they receive no information about the kidnapping.
